ABSTRACTEMPTION, 2011-2020

Abstractemption är en lek för våra sinnen med uppmaningen ’se och rör!’. Den beskrivas som ”en abstrakt frestelse och en taktil upplevelse som både uppmuntrar och ställer krav på besökarens nyfikenhet och engagemang. ”

Med konsten som verktyg och glas och ljud som medium tydliggör utställningen hur olika funktionssätt och privilegier ger besökarna varierande möjligheter till delaktighet. Genom utformningen av utställningen, som är både förbehållsam och tillgänglig, villkoras upplevelsen och delaktigheten, samtidigt som Abstractemption problematiserar de inkluderande och exkluderande effekter som normstrukturer i vårt samhälle genererar. Abstractemption har tidigare visats på Sveriges Glasmuseum i Växjö, Falkenbergs museum, Stockholm Kulturhus under Stockholm Pride, samt Huseby Bruk. Abstractemption är nu en del av den permanenta utställningen på the GlassFactory i Boda.

ENGLISH: Abstractemption can be described as an abstract temptation for a perceptual experiences. The exhibition consists of sound and glass installations and visitors are urged to explore the art by using several senses. Abstractempption deals with questions about how the spatial environment determines our possibilities to participate and experience the surrounding. By designing the space to present both visible and hidden artwork the visitors are forced to be “hands on” to get the full experience. In the making of the installation I strived to use a variety of glass techniques that would create textures with different tactile quality’s. Abstractemption was first shown at the Swedish Glass Museum in Växjö, but the exhibition have also visited Falkenberg Museum, Kulturhuset Stockholm and Huseby Bruk. It is now a part of the permanent exhibition at the Glass Factory in Boda.
